Overcoming the monster: this is a story in which the protagonist must face a monster or antagonist that is more powerful than the protagonist. The protagonist must overcome the monster in the story.
Rags to Riches: is a story that follows the protagonist who starts impoverished or disadvantaged and then achieves their goal or becomes very wealthy.
The Quest: the protagonist goes on a journey to find what they've been looking for. This can be a physical object or a personal goal. They can even find themselves during the journey.
Voyage and Return: this sends the protagonist to a random or strange place. that challenge them, then they are sent back to the original place they were from.
Comedy The plot is confusing as the hero and heroine go through comical events. But end with happen end.
Tragedy focuses on a protagonist that is a bad person. As well as having a bad ending which usually occurs with death at the end.
Rebirth the protagonist goes through life a changing event. Which shapes them and turns them into new people. Or they have a redemption arc.
Save the cat the character must do something to make the audience root for them. Like saving a cat in a tree. It does not have to be something good. It just needs to gauge the audience to the character.
The pope in the pool is the technique which keeps the audience entertained. Doing something out of the ordinary in the middle of the scene keeps the audience’s attention.
Double Mumbo Jumbo The story must have only one element to its story. Too many elements will destroy the plot of the story. It overwhelmed the audience.
Laying pipe these laws set up an important part of the stories. Early in the story, so that the viewer can understand the plot early on

Watch out for That Glacier: This technique focuses on pace in the story if you go too slow in the story the audience will not be entertained. And you got to keep the audience on the edge and the entire story.
The covenant of the arc . The protagonist changes through the story well the bad guy does not. Need your protagonist to change in the story as it connects the viewer too to the protagonist it makes a great story.
Keep the press out. This rule states that you must keep the press out of your movie as it creates a magical bond between the viewer and the protagonist as they both now share the same secret. the press also takes the viewer out of the story.
